1940’s GOLDSMITH Model 67 Leather Football Helmet

Up for sale is a circa 1940’s Goldsmith model 67 leather football helmet! As the photos show, the helmet has seen plenty of gridiron warfare but is still in great shape (see all photos for condition). It has light signs of game use through out but that’s about it. The leather has it’s original worn jet black patina. No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. It has a great shine and really cool look! The hard shell sections of the helmet are also in great shape with the original white paint. The leather interior sections of the helmet are also in great shape. The leather is nice and soft and supple with just a little bit of wear (see last 3 photos). All of the inner suspension straps are present. It has the original cloth chin strap with leather fob. The MacGregor Goldsmith makers logo is marked on the back center of the helmet along with the model # 67. The size (7 1/8) is marked right above the logo. Note – this antique football helmet is for collecting, not for wearing.
